Third period rally allows Erie to skate past the Hawks

Despite holding the lead through most of the contest, the MVCC ice hockey team allowed three third period goals as Erie Community College skated away with a 5-2 victory on Thursday at the Utica Auditorium.

The Hawks scored at the 16:37 mark of the first period on a penalty play. The second period opened with a 1-1 tie as Erie's Jacob Berke scored at 10:27 of the first period.

The Hawks took the lead at 12:26 of the second period on an unassisted goal.

Erie answered this challenge with four third period goals.

MVCC committed eight infractions for 16 minutes in penalties while Erie committed five for 10 minutes.
