The MVCC Lady Hawks soccer team picked up a big 8-2 win over Jamestown on Saturday as four different Hawks scored goals.
Rose Simmons put MV on the board with goals at the 12:39 & 24:50 mark of the first half. Courtney Hewes cut the Hawks lead in half as she scored for Jamestown just :40 later. Maryjo Fleck found the back of the net at the 29:50 mark on a pass from Alexandra Stant, who finished with two assists in the game. Kiersten Tabor's first collegiate goal (36:36) pushed the Hawks lead to 4-1.
Simmons third goal of the game just two minutes into the second half and extended the MVCC lead to 5-1. Sydney Cook then took over for MVCC, scoring three goals (including an unassisted goal) at the 54, 66 and 81st minutes of the contest. Emilie Lewandowski finished with two assists and Elisha Hamilton had an assist on Cook's final tally.
Drianna Crofoot finished with three saves for the Hawks.
