Djouma Wins National Title, Hawks 2nd Overall

The MVCC Men's Cross Country team finished National Runner-up at the NJCAA National Championships held at Stanley Park in Westfield, Massachusetts.

Zakaria Djouma capped off an undefeated season by winning the NJCAA Division III National Title in a time of 26:15.1. Teammates Tyler Beattie finished the race in 28:02.8 (8th place) and Alec Ambruso crossed the line in 28:20.5 (10th place).  Djouma, Beattie and Ambruso all picked up All-American Honors. 

Freshman Mike Warchol set a personal record with a time of 29:31.5 (28th place) and Kevin Maas rounded out the Hawks scoring by registering a time of 29:57.1 (37th overall). 

Nick Cecilia placed 45th overall in a time of 30:13.5 and Tyler Unislawski ran the 8K in a time of 32:07.6 (90th overall).
