The MVCC Athlete of the Week for the week ending February 22nd, 2026 is Mason Beattie from the Men's Track and Field Team. Beattie delivered a standout effort in the Men’s Shot Put at the St. Lawrence University Invitational. He earned a second-place finish against a strong field of NCAA four-year competition. His throw of 12.39 meters (40-7¾) secured his spot on the podium and highlighted the steady technical and strength development he has shown so far this season. Mr. Beattie is from Watertown, NY and a graduate of South Jefferson High School.
