The Mohawk Valley Community College Hawks faced Monroe Community College on April 9 at Donovan Stadium, dropping both games but producing more consistent offense in the second contest.
Game One
The Hawks were limited offensively, finishing with two hits and two runs. Ryan Leos went 1-for-2 with a run scored, an RBI, and a stolen base. Franklyn Gutierrez also recorded a hit and drove in a run.
Game Two
Mohawk Valley showed significant improvement at the plate, totaling 13 hits and nine runs.
Franklyn Gutierrez led the offense, going 5-for-5 with a double, a home run, and five RBIs. CJ Kerslake reached base three times, scored four runs, and added two hits and a walk.
Antonio DeMarco finished 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, and one RBI. Lucas Tucker went 1-for-2 with two RBIs, while Ryan Leos added a hit and a walk.
Additional contributions included an RBI from Genero Clemente and a run scored by Lucas Torrech. The Hawks drew five walks as a team and struck out 10 times.
On the mound, Mohawk Valley pitchers combined for 10 strikeouts. Luke Lance led the way in relief with four strikeouts over 2.1 innings, while Jaden Sherwood added two strikeouts in one inning.

The Hawks will return to action this weekend for a four-game series against Hudson Valley Community College, ranked No. 4 nationally.
