The MVCC Men's Basketball season ended with a 76-62 loss to Herkimer College in the Region III semifinals on Saturday at Allyn Gym on the Onondaga CC campus. 

The Hawks took an early 3-2 lead on a three point basket by Joe Sullivan before the Generals went on a 12-0 run to put MV in the hole.  MVCC battled back to within 8 at the half (34-26) as Will Gilbert scored the Hawks final 11 points of the opening frame over a five minute period. 

The Generals outscored MV 24-5 over the first nine minutes of the second half to put the game out of reach.

Will Gilbert led MV with 15 points and 7 rebounds while Adam Goldsberry added 13 more for the Hawks.
